Portrait of the blogger as an old man...

I would say it's a blogger in disguise. It's hard to tell your age beyond the hat, glasses, and beard.

Good luck with beating the weather.

Trim the beard a little and you'd look like Hemingway. (grin)

The Old Blogger and the Sea!
Paddle on...

Paddle? You paddle?
Not so old as you think. ;)

The shadow on your shirt looks like a microphone, as if you are being hounded by a reporter and are refusing comment.

What are you hiding from us, Wil? ;)

You could join 'The Dubliners'
and everyone would think that Ronny Drew was still alive and singing. I don't know how the accent would go, how is your Irish anyway?

Thank you all for your comments.

I don't hide my age, Robbie, merely my DOB. It's 58, this time around.

Pammy, I just hope I don't end up the way he did. Gave up the booze many years ago, so it isn't a likely outcome.

Gigi, your comment I read without glasses and was puzzled for the longest time trying to figure out where you got the "Seal" reference. Got to find my glasses, I guess.

Kathy, yes I do paddle. Even re-upped my "paddling perks" for 2009, netting me a gold colored paddling "dri-shirt" with the anti-microbial treatment. I may be old, but I try to smell good for SWMBO.

I hide many things from my past, Chris. Further, to answer an older question, I'm pretty sure some campaign worker has hung me in effigy at the McCain HQ down the road a piece. So, it isn't like I expect a card from the RNC for Christmas...

Last but certainly not least, it is ALWAYS good to hear from you, Gerrit. Sadly, it requires nearly a whole bottle of Irish whiskey for my brogue to come out. Or is that slurring? I am something like almost-half Irish, after all.

Geez, Wil, remember how Joyce starts out that novel, talking about how it feels when you wet the bed? Do you and I have to start worrying about that again?

Wow, that is quite a look! Suits you well, Wil!

Thanks for all the nice comments my friend...
