Don't Drink The Water, Don't Breathe The Air

Stumbled onto this in my intertravels -- Dr. Shazam's take on things as it appears in his blog Mr. Hassle's Long Underpants:

"Healthcare is dangerous, stay away from hospitals at all costs. If you need to go, find one with the highest ratio of nurses to patients that you possibly can. Your doctor doesn't matter...if your nurses are good, you will be safe. Find the hospital with the highest paid nursing staff. find the hospital that isn't using 'agency' nurses to fill nighttime nursing spots. Find this out ahead of time. In many ways, your nurse is much more important than your doctor.

Better yet, don't get sick. Or participate in adrenaline based sports where you are more likely to just die a sudden death than to have a heart attack or stroke. Try rock climbing, class V & VI white water kayaking, free solo climbing, free diving, ultra endurance running. Whatever. Just don't get sick."

Word to the wise.

Hi, thanks for the link to my blog. I'm not always so negative, so be sure to stop by again, I've got an RSS feed as well!

BTW, I'm a she, not a he.
