Sunday Seven - Episode 44
Do you have plans to attend a Fourth of July barbeque this Tuesday? If so, or if you've attended one this weekend, this question will be right up your alley!
But first, Julia, of "Aesthetic Vibes," was first to play last week! Congratulations Julia!
On to this week's question!
THIS WEEK'S QUESTION:
Name seven things -- they don't have to be food -- that no Fourth of July barbeque really feels right without.
Either answer the question in a comment here or answer it in your journal and include the link in a comment. (To be considered "first to play," a link must be to the specific entry in which you answered the question.)
Ah, but I like food ~~ it is what makes it a barbeque, after all. But I'll try.
Horseshoes pit
Frisbees
smoked brisket (you had to know food would sneak in sooner or later – it's a barbeque)
hamburgers and hot dogs
watermelon
iced beer
first aid emergencies:
a. cuts and scratches requiring band-aids and kisses
b. poison ivy
c. first and second degree burns (it's a barbeque)
d. bee/wasp/yellow jacket/hornet stings
e. twisted ankles
f. head injuries (it's surprising how much damage a cast iron pan can do when wielded by an angry spouse – really)
g. upset stomachs requiring antacids – because some of us don't know when enough is too much, and
friends and family.
