MEME: Wednesday Mind Hump – Going Postal

Happy Wednesday! Today's theme is supposed to be Back Hair Appreciation Day. Ick! Let's skip to tomorrow's theme, which is Postal Worker's Day.

Come on, Back Hair Appreciation Day? About the only good thing about back hair is the friction reduction one achieves when playing under the sheets, but that's countered by it getting tied into knots if the play becomes extra vigorous...

1. When is the last time you sent someone a letter in the mail?
Hooo, boy, it's been a while. A long while. Personal letter, hand written? Maybe 12 years? Business letter? Sometime in the past six months. Do you still put a stamp in the upper right hand corner of the envelope?
2. What usually comes in your mail?
Bills.
3. What kind of a mailbox do you have?
Plastic, black, looks as though I'd sat on it – it's “squat” in a breadloaf-shaped way. I got tired of kids smashing the big metal one to smithereens from the back of a pickup just to hear the ringing of the steel bat...
4. If you could send a package to your postal worker to show your appreciation, what would you send them? Well, my postal worker is a youngish (under 40 and we'll leave it at that) female, so a lace teddy was the first thing that came to mind. Bad dog. Back when I could afford such things, a bottle of single malt was the gift of choice, or some hand-tied flies – I knew my carrier's likes and dislikes in those days. Now I don't know her name and have no desire to, either. The less cause for jealousy, the better. The lumps on my head thank you...
