John M. Scalzi's Your Monday Photo Shoot: Blossoms and Blooms

The budding season of spring is bursting out all over the Scalzi Compound, and I expect in most other places, which has inspired what I think will be a cheerful Photo Shoot for us all:

Your Monday Photo Shoot: Take a snap of some of the latest blossoms and blooms near you.

Well, we'd had enough snow melt the past week or so for me to finally get a car down to camp to make sure it hasn't floated away or been broken into or collapsed from the weight of the snow. Darn near got stuck in the mud, though. At least four inches deep, and parking was a treat, too. Finally found a chunk of ledge to park one tire on so the whole thing couldn't just sink out of sight.

Then last night we got the white stuff you see in the photo below which I took around 1:00 in the morning after picking up SWMBO from work. Not going to be too many blooms for another couple of weeks yet. So take a gander at the rose hips in the entry before this one. They were shot on early June at Bass Harbor Light on Mt. Desert Island a while back. Closest thing to a bloom I have in my archives from here. Or you can look at the butterfly from a couple of years ago...
